disable burst mode on iphone 13 mini

Simple question; how does one use the >timer< without >burst mode<? A simple search shows this to be a continuing problem faced by iphone users, dating back >>years<<. Considering this functionality is desired, why is it not possible to use the iphone in timer mode without burst mode?? And no, turning the flash 'On' is not a workaround. I have lights. I have a tripod. I don't need the flash. And I most certainly don't need burst mode.

Please don't respond by saying this is working as expected. It might be working as designed, but it most certainly isn't expected that burst mode would enable just because the timer has been switched on.

Peace, Love, Donuts & Kittens to the developer who gets it.
