How do I connect my AirPods Pro to another Apple ID?

How do I connect my AirPods Pro to another Apple ID? My AirPods keep connecting to my wife’s ID and we’re both getting notifications all the time about where the AirPods are. We’ve tried forgetting them on both phones and reconnecting several times, and they automatically connect to her Apple ID again. Please help, this is very annoying.
