Duplicate birthdays in ical

Here's what happening:

Duplicate birthdays shown in iCal on my MacBook, but single contacts for the people in Contacts.

There is only one Birthday calendar in iCal.

Also single birthdays shown on iPhone and on iCal in iCloud for those people.

And the same thing is happening on my iMac at the office.

Please don't send me to https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204123. It doesn't compute.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. From your post, there are duplicate birthdays on your calendars. We'll do what we can to help.

Are you using multiple accounts for calendar like contacts? If so, are the birthdays showing up under those different accounts?

If so, that means they are syncing from those accounts. From here, you can remove the birthday events from the account of your choosing to prevent the duplicates or not sync those accounts for calendars.
