Can’t see photos exchanged on Messages

I upgraded to iOS 15 and I am no longer able to see all the photos, exchanged in an iMessage and Message conversation. I used to be able to tap on the recipient's name at the top of the conversation, then tap info and all of the media exchanged showed up in a section as a list of thumbnail images. Currently all I can see is a section labeled Links which only includes shared links, but no photos. If I tap on See All it shows me more links, but not even every link that has been shared in the conversation. I am more interested in being able to easily access all of the photos shared in a conversation, but they no longer appear in this section. Anyone else experiencing this and know how to fix it, or is this something phased out with iOS 15?

Use Shared with You on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Try using the details on that page to see if the expected content is showing in the respective apps, such as photos showing in the Photos app, if you have it enabled.

If you still have issues seeing any photos shared with you via Messages, does scrolling up in the conversation show any photos from pre-iOS 15?

Thanks for checking on things there. Are you utilizing Messages in iCloud? You can double-check in Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Messages.

Also, is the device currently connected to cellular data or Wi-Fi? If on cellular, does connecting to Wi-Fi help with at least the downloading of the photo there?

If you're using Messages in iCloud, try checking any other Apple devices you may have, such as an iPad or Mac, and see if the affected photos show fine there.

Hi Eric. Thanks for the help but no it’s not showing up in the shared as well. Also, when I scroll through the convos, doesn’t show anything as well. Just says download and when I try to download doesn’t show up anything. Doesn’t even say “downloading”
