Second-generation Siri remote is continually turning volume down

Second-generation Siri remote is continually turning volume down.

my second generation C remote is continually turning the volume down. I have looked for ways to reset remote or restart it however the button combination suggested don’t seem to be working. These have been pressing the back arrow with the plus volume.

Does anybody have any idea how I can sort this out?
