How can I tell if my AirPods 3rd Gen are fake or real?
Have you already bought them? If so, did you buy them directly from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller? If so, they should be genuine Apple devices. If neither of those, especially if you got them at a highly "discounted" price, they may be knock-offs. The support article javaliga is a good one to review.
I'm in Mexico. my neighbor order them for me. I already got them. I checked the serial number on the packaging box and charging case and they both match and Apple does recognize this number. but the serial number on each pod are different from each other and packing box and Apple does not recognize them.
The AirPods and their charging case should share the same serial number ... and they should match the serial number on the original packaging. javaliga already provided you with how to identify them, but if you are still concerned, you should contact Apple Support directly. To do so, simply select the "Get Support" link in the upper right-hand side of this forum's web page.
