iMessage crashing

My iMessage just keeps crashing and I’ve tried restarting the device Tried rebooting the WiFi I don’t know it won’t even open

So sorry to hear this is happening to you, I understand this can definitely be frustrating.


Great job completing the basic troubleshooting.


I would also confirm that your device is up to date with the latest version of iOS. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204204


Having the latest version of iOS can fix a lot of problems.


1.Check and make sure that you are signed in iCloud on your device


2.Check your iMessage activation status in your settings

Settings > messages (toggle iMessage on and off)


If this issue still persist I would contact Apple Support and they can take a look into with you.

This is a good resource to follow for your issue


Also this could be because of Screen time. IF the messages app won't open at all....


Settings > screen time > and turn that off and see if that works.
