I can’t obtain new usbank app. Apple will not recognize thumb print on ipad

I can’t get the new usbank app on my iPad. Need to do online banking.

On the basis of supplied information, your actual issue appears to be your inability to download a banking App from the Apple App Store.


Whilst your thumbprint may not be recognised by your iPad, for any number of reasons, you should be able to enter your AppleID Password manually - or use your iPad Passcode to instead enable password autofill of saved credentials from your Keychain.


Assuming that you know your AppleID password, required to download Apps from the App Store, if you are experiencing more general difficulties with adding Apps to, or removing Apps from your iPad, you need to check your ScreenTime restrictions:

  • Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases > Adding Apps - ensure that this permission is set to Allow
  • Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases > Deleting Apps - ensure that this permission is set to Allow
