Playstation 5 controller on Apple Arcade

Hi

I just bought a PlayStation 5 controller to play NBA2K22 Arcade on Apple TV, but the game only supports PlayStation 4 controllers at the moment. Is there any plans on implementing the new controllers on Apple TV? I only bought Apple Arcade to play this game, so I’m pretty bummed over not being able to use the controllers.

Greetings Victorgladium,

We understand that you’re having an issue pairing a PlayStation controller with your Apple TV.

The following article goes over the two PlayStation controllers that are supported, one appears to be the PlayStation 5 DualSense Wireless Controller. There are also steps on what to do if the controller isn’t connecting or working as you’ve expected.

Thanks.

This wasn’t helpful. I can easily pair the controller with the Apple TV. I did it several times. I even unpaired it and paired it again several times to see if it worked. But when I’m in NBA2K Arcade I can’t start any games, since the button to start the games is not found on PlayStation 5 controllers. I can get into the game menu and setup, but I can’t start any actual games, with a PS5 controller. I hope there are plans to fix this?
