since november 21 i have been unable to use word documents.

Has anyone else been unable to edit word documents on MacBook air since update in November 21

Did you upgrade you OS by chance? If so, you need a newer version as Microsoft thinks you have a new computer.


If no upgrades, attempt to reactivate. In Office 2016 and 2019 you do that by signing into your MS account by clicking "Word" in the menu and select "Sign In" or words to that effect. If reactivation is not allowed you have likely reached your max possible activations. In that case, a chat with Microsoft may get you reactivated.


Another possibility is your license has been blacklisted because of piracy issues. I have had that happen, years ago, and if that's the case, it's over ... time to purchase a new version.


If you're using Microsoft 365 it's definitely time to chat with Microsoft.
