iPhone 13 pro camera lag

Let's start with better understanding what's happening, along with ruling out some basics:

1. You mentioned this occurs while recording video, but does it occur in any other mode?
2. We see you have iOS 15 installed, but the latest for your model is iOS 15.1.1. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. Here's a link that'll show how to first back up, then Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
3. In what way does it lag after focusing while recording a video? It is expected for a slight focus time to occur when focusing the camera, so perhaps we're misunderstanding what's happening. The more details you provide, the better equipped we'll be to assist.

Having similar issues. I returned the previous iPhone 13 pro thinking the issue was in that phone but this issue is in general. I received a brand new 13 pro an hour ago and the problem still persists. I haven’t installed any apps yet

you not the only one, even when i spoke to Apple care center, they acknowledge the defect.. this is a major issue and they thought that we bought the phone to make calls only.

Did you try changing it to 4K in the top right corner? I find this only happens recording in HD vs 4K and it think it’s because the HD recording is only for farther range / landscape and general right in front of you recording is best with the 4K

Similar is happening with me. When i open the front camera it lags while clicking clicking anyone’s face in selfie camera but when i try toh click anything else with selfie camera it works just fine. I dont understand what is the issue. Can anybody help?
