Apple Pay Problems

About a month ago purchased a very

expensive Iphone 13 after many years of owning Android phones after some of my

Apple using friends said how much better Apple was. I didn’t particularly like

the Android system.  However, I have

found using Apple software often frustrating and at times illogical.  A good example of this is Apple Pay.  To pay a bill with Android takes one

step.  To pay a bill with Apple Pay takes

4 steps.  This includes pushing the side

button twice and entering a passcode.

Sometimes this process has to be repeated when it doesn’t work the first

time.  Why would the Apple Programmers

require the side button to be pressed twice AND a passcode to be entered.  It just doesn’t make sense. I understand that

there are alternatives.  Face/finger ID is

no good for me.  Could someone explain

why this awkward process has to be followed.

I am getting rid of Apple Pay and going back to using a physical credit

card which is very simple.
