iPhone 13 Pro Max issue with Microphone

Hi All,

I got an issue with my new iPhone. When I use voice call with my friend using speaker, especially when I put my iPhone vertically, then the iPhone auto switched and use Siri's Microphone. I guessed this is the reason causing the voice signal muffled. If I put the iPhone horizontally or using ears speaker then the iPhone will switched to use the bottom Microphone that working fine.

Is there any solution allow to force the messenger chat applications always using Bottom microphone instead of other microphone?

Lam

Hi Eric,

Thank for your promptly reply. I think you didn't understand my question. The problem here not because the Microphone stop working so your instruction link did not help me at all.

Let me clarify with you.

1) How many embedded microphone on iPhone Pro Max 13?

+ Is that 3 with 1 Bottom Microphone, 1 Built-In Microphone (Front), and Camera Microphone (Back).

2) How the iPhone selects which Microphone to use?

+ The Camera Microphone backside will be used when shooting videos.

+ The Bottom Mic will be used when doing regular calls.

+ The Built-in Mic will be used when chatting via FaceTime, or any other chat messenger with option External speaker, or use to listen Siri commands.

In summary, the problem caused by the Built-in Mic only, is there anyway to disabled Built-in mic or set always using Bottom mic instead?

Lam
