Can we connect DELL Latitude 7400 laptop to iMac 2009 27'' as a secondary Monitor?
I have iMac 2009 27'' and I don't want to sell it as i love it.
So now I want to use this as a secondary monitor to my office Laptop DELL LATITUDE 7400(it has USB type C port).
iMac 27″, macOS 10.13
I Just tried with the mini display port to USB type C cable and it worked fine. My dell laptop has USB type C port which is internally using Display port hence it is working. Don't use any other adapters which is not going to work.

Refer to Target Display Mode (Target Display Mode). However please remember Target Display Mode is dead and has not been supported for years so you are pretty much on your own.
Target Display Mode, only worked Mac to Mac.
