Cancel app
How do I cancel an app... I’ve searched in settings and App Store and am not being given the option to cancel

By Cancel, if you mean delete then read below...
First disable the Screen Time Restrictions, if any.
Settings > Screen Time > Contenet And Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases > Deleting Apps > [Allow]
There are six possibilities
- Delete an offloaded App
- Delete an App from the Home Screen
- Remove an App from the Home Screen - Will be placed in the App Library
- Delete an App from the App Library
- Delete an inbuilt App - Not feasible
- Delete an inbuilt App with one feature - You do not get any options either (e.g. Magnifier)
