Homekit Automations

I have a few HK automations that are time-of-day triggered (e.g. Sunrise) and activate appropriate scenes. All my automations are working as originally set up. However, they do not appear anywhere in my apps (Mac/iPad/iPhone). I would like to make a few edits, but cannot find them. Nothing appears under the Automation tab. Is it me? or is there a widespread problem? iPados 15.1

Hey there, Brian Williams2!

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! We understand that your Home app automation is not working as expected. We're happy to help.

We understand your automations are working as expected, yet they do not show up under the Automation tab in the Home app? Is that right? Take a look here: Create scenes and automations with the Home app

Do you use a HomeKit bridge with your accessories? If so, have you tried restarting the bridge? Let's have you restart your iPad as well if it is your home hub: Restart your iPad

Thanks for your suggestion. To clarify: I have the current Home app on my up-to-date iPad, my up-to-date iPhone, my MacBook Pro, my M1 Mac mini, and more. All are kept up to date (Big Sur - not ready for Monterey) and have had recent restarts. I have 3 AppleTVs in play, all recently updated and restarted, I have 4 HomePods, all recently updated and restarted. I have several HomeKit automations, all of which work. I cannot find a list of these automations, and thus, no opportunity to edit any of them.

Given this mystery, I am leery about creating an additional automation, lest my current ones quit working.

Hello Brian,

is there any further response here from Apple? I facings similar or probably the same issue. I have two aTV (one wired connected to the LAN and one wifi connected) and three HomePod mini. After update to iOS 15.2 and tvOS 15.2 automations working unreliable and sporadically. It doesn't matter whether automation trigger scenarios or single accessories - all are affected! Also old and new automations.

I also followed some "so called best practices" and have completely removed all three HomePods from my setup. No improvements with the remaining two aTVs in my HomeKit setup. I guess there is a serious issue with HomeKit in iOS/tvOS 15.2.

Regards, Djiwondee!
