Seems you need to remove the Wallet before you attempt to charge. See this, How to use your MagSafe Charger with iPhone 12 models and later - Apple Support And just to make sure, I just tested it on my iPhone 13 Pro with a leather case and leather Wallet. While it would stick slightly to the outside of the Wallet, it would not connect to charge.
