I forgot my apple ID password and tried to reset it by answering the security questions. I made a few attempts to answer the questions until it said I tried too many times. Now I don't have the option to answer the security questions at all. I now only have the option to get an email. Has this happened to anyone before? Does the option to answer security questions eventually come back?

We can't give you an exact amount of time for the waiting period, but your option will come back as mentioned in: If you forgot the answers to your Apple ID security questions - Apple Support
"If you answer your security questions incorrectly too many times in a row, you temporarily can't use your security questions. Try to reset your questions after the waiting period ends."
We recommend trying again after 24 hours.
