EMF emissions with Apple Watch

Someone pointed out to me the Apple Watch emits an unhealthy amount of EMFs and that it should be worn in the airplane mode ( limits what it can perform)- what data do you have regarding this?

We’re other users, and not Apple.

EMF is usually either electromagnetic force or electromagnetic field, and any discussion of that also necessarily involves discussing the associated power, distance, and frequencies involved with the radiation, as well as the duration of radiation exposure.

And to be clear, the term radiation includes a variety of sources including light, radio waves, microwaves, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, heat, as well as ionizing nuclear radiation that some (only) think of when they encounter the word “radiation”.

We are all awash electromagnetic radiation too, most non-ionizing and some little ionizing, and across a wide variety of frequencies, not the least of which arises from gravitationally-constrained thermonuclear fusion.

Closer to where we live and work, Apple has tested the devices against applicable emissions and exposure standards, and the devices comply.

Details: https://www.apple.com/legal/rfexposure/

Apple Watch emits Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cellular frequencies, as well as light, sound, and (negligible) heat, depending in the model and operating mode.

If you’re concerned about electromagnetic radiation, probably best simply not use the devices that concern you. Different folks have different concerns about different risks, after all.
