Try unpairing the phone. Then, pair it back. Perform this while in while in park.

Seems there is an issue with a number of vehicles not working with USB and the newer phones. You will have to watch to see if Apple announces anything, or you can check with your vehicle manufacturer and see if they have a software update for your vehicle's radio system, or if they have any other options.
