Mac book pro not starting up

I am trying to start up my Macbook Pro Laptop, but everytime it just shows the Apple icon for a moment then the screen goes black.

This may (or not) work..

• If your Mac starts up to a blank screen - Apple Support (re: macOS recovery)

Or you may need to run Recovery.

If you have a Time Machine backup, you could try & restart

from there. Several different instructions exist to use T.M.
