Will the iPhone 6 payg sim work without costing me more?

can you please help me with a iphone6 ive been given by my freind. all i want to know is if i use the payg sim from the same contract provider will it work without costing me more than i can afford.

any help would be gratefully appreciated.

You will have to pay for the SIM, of course, and when it runs out of talk, text, or data you will have to pay to recharge it. In general a PAYG SIM plan is more expensive (and unpredictable) than a contract unless your usage is really minimal.
