If your iPad won't charge – Apple Support


Troubleshooting generally requires substitution of the Power Adapter and cable for another known-good item.


If you continue to experience difficulties, you might be best advised to first seek assistance directly from from Apple Support - and request a remote diagnostic test. You can contact the Support Team using the Get Support link at top-right of this page. Alternatively, you can initiate and manage your support cases using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed on your iPad, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

You might also visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad, Power Adapter and cable(s):

You may have defective power/charging cables AND/OR defective power/charging adapter block.

Try other known good power.charging cables and power/charging adapter blocks.


Also, depending on age of your iPad, tge internal battery maybe failing or is faulty/defective.


You may need to search online for your nearest, “local” Apple store location and call contact phone numbers and call to make an appointment to have your Apple iPad diagnosed and options presented you.

You may need to purchase new power/charging cables AND/OR new power/charging adapter block.


Failing that,

You need to contact Apple support via the contact support link located at the upper right hand corner of every Webpage of these Apple support communities.


Use the Hardware Repair & Battery usage & Charging support categories.

by installing and using the Apple Support app found in the iOS App Store.
