No Sound from iPhone 12 Max Pro

I've connected my iphone to a computer monitor via an apple lightening to HDMI adapter. This computer monitor does not have speakers so I want to still have my sound come out of the phone speakers. But when the HDMI cable is plugged in, the phone automatically routes sound through HDMI even though there are no speakers on the other end of the connection. How can I over ride sound routing to come through the phone speakers?

Hello,

Try this:

1) Open the Control Center

2) Long press on the music controls

3) Select the output option (little up-arrow with circles)

4) Select iPhone
