We understand that you’re trying to connect an external monitor to your Mac via USB, but you’re unable to. We'd like to look into this with you to see how we can help. Great thinking to try the steps outlined in Connect a display to your Mac to resolve this issue. 


It appears that the issue is with the USB connection, according to the error message you’re seeing: If a USB device doesn’t work with Mac


We’d recommend reaching out to the manufacturer of the display to inquire about drivers that need to be installed for the monitor to work.
