need to migrate hp computer to a apple mac computer what mac OS X should i choose?

If you are buying a new Mac, you don't have much choice. You will get either Big Sur or Monterey. In any case it really does not matter, you can transfer PC files, but not programs, to pretty much any Mac.

I believe Migration assistant is also available for PC (and Mac too, of Course)

that would make the process of migration from a PC to a Mac smoother and easier, I hope....
