My Apple TV has no power.
Plug sockets work, along with the HDMI cable etc.
I have an older Apple TV and that works no problem.
Any suggestions on what would be the cause for it having no power? How to resolve it?

That sounds like a hardware failure with the new one. Take it to Apple or an Apple authorized service provider to have it checked out. It may need to be replaced.

Do you see a white light on the front of the Apple TV when its plugged in?
Is the power cable firmly inserted into the socket on the back of the Apple TV?
If you connect the older Apple TV to the newer Apple TV’s power cable, does it work?
No white light.
Yes cable is in fully.
Yes cable works on older Apple TV.
