PowerPoint on external monitor

Hey, everyone - big question. I am running PowerPoint 2004 on my MacBook Pro and I was making a presentation to a group. They did not have a projector, instead an external monitor. When I plugged in the MacBook Pro, the "Slide Show" mode operated on my MacBook Pro, and the notes section was on the external monitor... and I couldn't figure out how to change the screens to reverse the windows between monitors. This never happened with projectors, it always knows to put the slide show on the projectors so I never experienced this problem. Does anyone know how I could reverse these images so that the slide show is on the remote monitor and the notes section on the laptop?

I believe you just go to the Powerpoint menu "Slide Show" then down to the "set up show..." item, then the "screen" button, and select the screen you want the slides to appear on from the screens (displays) available. Works for me. I see no inherent reason why a projector would appear automatically as you like it. Perhaps the Mac remembers that configuration, but the new display needs to be set up.
