is contact number erased after remotely erasing lost phone?

An iphone was lost a few days ago. I remotely sent contact number in case someone chooses to report it.

If I erase the device, could a person still contact me with the lost phone?

If you followed step 2 in the support document you posted from, then the message and contact info provided there will remain visible on the iPhone even after erasing it.

If you sent an SMS or iMessage then no. That would be erased when the device is erased.
