Transferring MP3 file to iPhone Files Folder

I used to (as recently as last week) be able to airdrop an mp3 file from my MacBook to my iPhone. On the iPhone I was given the option to save the file in the "Files" section of my iPhone OR to my iCloud. Now when I try and do the same thing, the only option that comes up on my iPhone is to open the mp3 with WhatsApp. Be advised these are mp3s of my own music which I hold the rights to. I am not looking to play them on an app, I am looking to store them as files on my phone. All of the sudden I can't do this anymore and I haven't done any recent IOS upgrades. Please help.

Hello DjSpindoc,

It sounds like you are unable to save MP3 files to your iCloud Drive using the files folder. We understand how important this is to you and we are here to help.

Are you able to save the file to your iCloud Drive folder on your Mac: Use iCloud Drive to store documents on your Mac, iPhone, and iPad

If so, the file should appear in your Files app on your iPhone.

If the issue persists, can you provide a few more details? Which iOS and macOS version are you currently using? What happens when you attempt to place the file into iCloud Drive on your Mac? Also, is your files app from your iPhone syncing with iCloud Drive on your Mac?

Cheers!
