Notifications still showing when focus turned on on Monterey

How do hide all notifications on Monterey? When I put on Do not Disturb or any other Focus, most of my notifications go away but some messages notifications remain. Not all notifications from all chats show up. In Focus settings, allow time-sensitive notifications is not selected. Messages is not selected in the section "Allowed notifications from". I know I can click to dismiss the notifications but I would like to just hide them so I can see them when I turn off Focus.

Thanks for getting back to us so quickly! There isn’t really a way to hide notifications using Focus, but you may find some value in utilizing the Notification Center.

If you set your alert style to “Banners” the notification will appear on the top right of your screen, but it will go away without any interaction from you within a couple of seconds. If you don't want to be disturbed by the content of the message, set your previews to show "none".

When you’re ready, you can open Notification Center to see the notifications that you missed.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! We understand that you’ve been experiencing an issue with notifications getting through when you have Focus enabled on your Mac, and we'd be delighted to offer some suggestions that may help.

You mentioned that you only some of your chats receive a notification, and that you don’t have the Messages app set to allow notifications, nor time-sensitive notifications enabled.

We’re curious about whether you have any “People” set to allow or “Share Focus Status” enabled?

If you have it set to share your status, your contacts will be given the options to notify you anyway.

I’m sorry, I forgot to mention as well that I do not have any people set to allow. I do have “Share Focus Status” enabled so I guess that is why I get the notifications.

Is there any way for me to hide these notifications without dismissing them so that I can view them later? Or must disable Share Focus Status? For example, if sometimes I would like to reply to immediately if the contact notifies anyway and sometimes I would just like to hide the notification.
