WatchOS 8.3 Update Causing 3rd Party Wireless Charger to Drain Battery

Man, I’ve lost but charger. Why do you have a nerve about your questions? Sometimes people wouldn’t like to share what happened stuffs or their prices or if they can access a physical store or not. They are not topic of the discussion. What if I try to contact with Amazon or seller? I know I will not receive any reply in a month and it is not their fault, we are on just before xmas. However, apple can fix it with just an update. They did it just before xmas without warning or informing the users who already purchased the most popular product on the most popular online retailer. Do you check or read every fckin detail on the products from walmart? It’s just a charger which doesn’t allow dat transfer. If apple couldn’t protect its codes then they should’ve change the software immediately not after became bestseller on amazon for months. Stop mfi issue because its the half of the discussion already. Please let me know how can I ignore you because I’m following that topic it means I receive every message as an email.

It will do you no good to discuss it here. Apple never included a power adapter with the aluminum watch. If you have an older Apple or mFi certified charger it will work with the Apple Watch 7. And technology moves on, all manufacturers have gone to USB-C and are no longer including power adapters.

These posts I answered were victims of Apple preventing customers charging their Apple Watch series 7 watches with the 1st party Apple series 4 5 and 6 chargers they used since they’ve bought the Watch 3 months ago.

Software 8 3 has purposely prevented this continued use of these chargers.

Why should there being told the obvious truth be deleted.

and do youthing it is fair for thousands and thousands of costumer who bought a "simple" cable/charger? it is fair for earth to waste tons of plastic and devices that became obsolete in one day? do and now you said 200 companies. a bet you tell me only 20 companies that they have stand for AW7??

be more realistic. this is the real world. when a company is only looking for exclusivity, ignoring its customer, there is an issue. either iphone and AW are now without a brick wall included. tomorros they will remove also the cable, with the excuse of looking for earth, buuuuuuuut, you cannot use what you already have and must purchase what was supposed to be included in the first place.

Exactly!!! This is all our concern, and more, what will be next? I believe it is the most stupid move, you dynamite the trust of you client, making them awake that what they bought belongs to apple and it can do whatever they want at anytime.

You have it backwards with Tesla. It would be like if Tesla only let Teslas use their charging stations. Which they do.

Or if you are driving a stolen Tesla and Tesla puts out an update that disables your stolen car without warning.

No, they had it right as you can currently charge your Tesla on non-Tesla chargers today. If Tesla didn't allow you to charge on non-Tesla chargers tomorrow, and only no Tesla "approved" chargers that would be the same situation here. You are only allowed to charge on Apple "approved" charge cords.

So does Apple 🍎 or other companies have nice looking chargers similar to Blue bolt that wirelessly charge iPhone, watch7, & earbuds ? If you know of any, can u send me / us a link , Please. What’s crazy is that the blue bolt WORKS for the SE Apple Watch

I updated my watch series 5 to OS8.3 and now the watch only charges 2% then stops. Have reset the watch but still the same thing. Can anyone help?
