Lost Admin Account
Updated to Monterey and lost the admin account, now I am locked out of basic settings.
Try this user tip I submitted for Catalina, but still works in Monterey.

Correct- single user mode was a dead end. I mounted the data volume in disc utility then erased the setup through the terminal.

I wonder if they actually tested that in Catalina or beyond.
Single-User Mode likely will not work, and the file is not stored on the System Volume, but in the Data volume.
