How do I turn off pictures from auto saving into my camera roll from my iMessages on my iphone 13 mini?

Thank you for posting your question on the Apple Community.
Apple Support have an article online that shows how to turn that feature on and off.
The article: "View photos and videos shared with you on iPhone"
Says:
Note: Photos and videos you don’t save from a Messages conversation are deleted in Shared with You and your library if the conversation in Messages is deleted.
To turn off "Shared with You,"
go to Settings 
> Messages > Shared with You, then turn off Photos (green is on).
