My iMAC can SEND but NOT receive AIRDROP files.

Up until a few days ago I used this feature all the time with no issues. I can't figure out why suddenly in the past week now my iMAC won't accept any airdrops from my iPhone. I am no IT Professional but I'm young and rather savvy with this stuff, but for the life of me can't figure out why my iMAC won't receive any files. I can Airdrop no problem FROM iMAC-to-iPHONE but not the reverse. All my obvious settings appear correct. My iMAC Bluetooth is on, I'm discoverable (contacts only). If I open Airdrop on my phone, "iMAC" is shown (again, been doing this for years. But I hit send now it just says "Waiting..." forever and never sends file. Nothing has changed with my security settings or firewall that i'm aware of. I'm lost on this one.

Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Please carefully read Use AirDrop on your Mac - Apple Support and ensure AirDrop is setup correctly.

If you continue to have a problem, please restart the computer in Safe Mode ( Safe Mode Reset) and then restart normally and then retest. If you are using a wireless keyboard, please ensure the charging cable is attached before executing the Reset. Note: It can can take up to 10 minutes for a Safe Mode reset to occur so continue holding down the Shift key until it restarts in Safe Mode.
