I tried to implement a screen capture with cmd-shift-5 and while it seemed to work, the controls disappeared and now the screen is stuck with the overlay. I tried 'enter', 'esc', and pressing 'cmd-shift-5' again but the overlay will not disappear. Is this a bug? Its rare to have bugs on a Mac but this is clearly an issue. Anyone else experience this?

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes.
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
