Unlock with Apple Watch isn't working on my iPhone 13 pro max

My new matchbook pro 14 inch cannot communicate with my Apple Watch. When I tried, I got this message, Your Mac was unable to communicate with your Apple Watch.

Macbook is unable to communicate with Apple Watch I have a Macbook Pro (2015) and an Apple Watch Series 4. Until yesterday, the 'unlock the Mac with the watch' feature worked seamlessly. Yesterday, I upgraded to an iPhone 12. It paired with the watch with no difficulty, but now I can't re-enable the 'unlock the Mac' feature. I get the error message that the Mac can't communicate with the watch. I've tried unpairing and repairing, restarting all three devices, turning bluetooth and wifi on and off (all are on the same wifi network), but with no success. Same error message.
