Can two devices be connected at the same time to AirPods (iPhone and Samsung)?

Can I connect both my iPhone (11) and my Samsung A10 to Airpods for simultaneously use? I.e. am I able to take calls on the Airpods regardless of which phone that rings? As is possible with for example Plantronics B3200?

If not, does anybody know when will this be possible also with Airpods?

The AirPods can switch between devices, but you cannot use two devices (even if they are both Apple) simultaneously.
