Whatsapp crashes on iphone 12 running iOS 15.2

Whatsapp opens and closes immediately. First on iOS15.1 and now in iOS 15.2

Many thanks to all but I finally sorted this out:

1.- installed and configured Business Whatsapp

2.- off-loaded Whatsapp messenger

3.- installed & configured WhatsApp Messenger

4.- deleted Business WhatsApp

5.- one extra iPhone restart.

Not sure if this would help but it's worth a try.

Try a forced restart.

• Press and quickly release the volume up button

• Press and quickly release the volume down button

• Press and hold the side button.

• When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

same issue here. I just updated ios 15.2 on iPhone 13 pro and whatsapp keeps crashing upon launch. It was working fine prior to the ios update. I see lots of people reporting the same issue on twitter.
