Podcast app on mac - persistent search box glitch

Whenever I use the search box on the Podcast app, it will create a square below it (like a drop-down box) that will persist after you use the search function. It just stays there and covers up some of the menu options below it, making it impossible to go to use it.

Closing the app completely and reopening it will not cause it to go away. It's obstructive and highly frustrating.

Well, the solution was simple:

Deleting the following plist files from the Library did the trick.

PodcastsDB.plist

PodcastsDiff.plist
