MacBook Air charging

MacBook Air Pro has been charging for 12 hours. When connecting to electrical source the wire turns green and then immediately turns orange. What could be wrong?

Could be nothing. Even though the battery is probably charging, read and follow the steps for Reset the SMC in If your Mac battery won't charge - Apple Support.

If you have reason to believe the battery is not charging, then proceed with Get your Mac serviced.

Be sure to use the power adapter and charging cable that came with your Mac before concluding something is wrong with the Mac.
