Wi-Fi is connected, but the Wi-Fi icon is missing and Wi-Fi doesn't work on iPhone 12.

My iPhone 12 mini is running iOS 15.1.1

The Wi-Fi says it's connected, but the icon is missing. And my phone isn't actually connected to the internet. My laptop and another phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi connection with no issues.

What I've tried:

  • Resetting my iPhone
  • Resetting the router
  • Testing a different Wi-Fi connection (says it was connected but I couldn't access the internet)
  • Turning Wi-Fi off and back on
  • Soft reset of my iPhone
  • Reset all Network Settings

I'm still not having any luck with fixing this issue. I don't think this has anything to do with it but I am traveling internationally. But it's been working as expected for the last week and just now stopped working. I also don't think Wi-Fi connections should be effected by traveling.

Please help!

I fixed it. For anyone that is looking, maybe this is your issue too. I had a VPN app I use for work, that was in a constant connecting state which seemed to be blocking my Wi-Fi. As soon as I deleted the app everything worked properly.
