After I updated my iMac to Mac OS Monterey 12.1 and restarted, my bluetooth will not turn on. I tried holding option and shift them clicking the bluetooth icon, but I do not get the same drop down menu as the forums say I should get. I also tried restarting and restarting and unplugging. Anyone have any suggestions?

Please describe what you are attempting to connect using Bluetooth so we can give you more specific instructions. BT works perfectly in Monterey (we have 4 Macs with it installed) . If you are simply trying to connect a BT keyboard or mouse please follow the directions below:
The following will require any USB keyboard and mouse. If you don’t have them, borrow or buy them, they are inexpensive!
Please use a USB mouse to enable BT in System Preferences. It is smart to always have a wired keyboard and mouse available. They are cheap and will save time when BT issues come up.

Welcome to the club of broken bluetooth on Monterey! There is no way to fix these issues. Wait for next update. Or downgrade to Big Sur.
Thx for the response. However when I hold the shift & Option key and click the bluetooth in the menu bar I do not have the Option to "remove all devices".
Yes, I already have a USB mouse. That's how I accessed the computer... When I go to preferences and click bluetooth it is off, when I click "turn bluetooth on"... nothing.
These options are not there in Monterey. Also, mine won't pair to start with and is asking for the Mouse Bluetooth code.
