Highly recommend you use http://www.reggieashworth.com/buy.html

AppDelete to remove CleanMyMac, MacKeeper, or any optimization utility on your Mac.

Optimizers actually slow you down because they are nothing more than placebo software meant to placate PC users used to optimizing their PCs. The Mac OS does a far better job of optimizing performance as long as you keep this in mind:

  1. Backup your files when you aren't using your machine.
  2. Only use background programs when multitasking certain routines.
  3. Do not let your hard drive get over an arbitrary 85% full.
  4. Don't add firewall software, hardware firewalls are far more effective.
  5. Never download Zeobit or Macpaw software as they both play into PC users fears. and are more malware than genuine help.

Optimizers which manage the system cache can destroy software launch capability.

If you must backup to the Cloud, be sure to have a true high speed fiber connection. Large photo and video libraries can really bog down your machine trying to upload over the cloud and using hard wired modem connections. WiFi is too slow.
