Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I recently bought a second hand iPhone 8 Plus ( I think it is) when I tried to activate it, it asks for a code and password. I believe that I may have bought a lost/stolen phone.
How do I go about getting a code & password to activate the phone??

Hello ~ If you believe the iPhone is stolen and likely is in light of the activation lock…why don’t you turn it over to local law enforcement? That way the owner of the iPhone would have a least a chance of recovering their property. Take a look here:

there is only one way.. contact the previous owner and get their help
If that's not possible, then the iPhone will not be usable.
