See exact time for viewed message in Messenger on iPhone 13 Pro Max

Hi,

I can see on my iPhone 13 Pro Max that I can only see when my friends have seen my text by hours, not the exact time. If it is less than one hour, I can see how many minutes it has been since they saw my text.

But after one hour, it only showed as text - seen x hours.

I know that this can be seen exactly in browsers and on Android phones.

Is there something I can change to get the exact time here?

The same issue is when I want to see when my friends have been active.

This is the same for all platforms and phones.

Hope you can help me here to solve this.

HRSoo81,

If you're not using the built-in Message app, it sounds like you're referring to a third-party installed app. If so, then you may need to reach out to the app developer on instructions to make changes within their app. How to contact an app developer

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

We understand your read receipts don't show the time the message was read. Does this behavior occur with multiple contacts? Go to Settings > Messages, and turn this feature off and on again. restart your iPhone. Make sure you're running the latest software in Settings > General > Software Update.

Thanks for your reply.

This issue is for Messenger, not Messages. And I'm not sure I can do this as you described for Messenger?

If I can, can you please advise me how to change the view for when messages in Messenger have been seen by my friends with exact time, not only showing hours?

Because this is possible to see on Android phones, so I hope that Apple also could fix this.
