How to move existing contacts into a different existing group

Question

I have established groups - I want to add contacts already in All contacts into specific groups

yeah, it’s for Christmas cards

iMac 27″ 5K, macOS 10.15

When in All Contacts, using the cursor, click and hold the desired contact, then drag the card to the desired group.

You listed an iMac in your first post, so that is what I answered. How to do it on a computer. I can do the same thing at iCloud.com/Contacts.

tried this in contacts on my iPad, & Iphine & In iCloud

doesnt happen m- please elaborate

Ah… I clicked a number of devices - must have defaulted to the last one… didn’t realize -

thanks I tried in iCloud in a browser on my iPad & it didn’t work

I’ll use the IMac then, thanks
