Unable to update 15.1 to 15.2 Using Cellular Data

When updating to 15.1 I was able to do it using mobile data though with 15.2 I am unable to. I have an IPhone 12 in an area with no 5G do I need to wait for a week before updating again before I can ?

That's not an Apple choice. It's a request that comes from cellular carriers to avoid clogging Internet.

Updates are always important because contain bug fixes, new features, and very often security patches.

To perform an update procedure wirelessly, you need to connect your device to a reliable and fast Wifi Network with internet access (no cellular data, unless you use a 5G network, no personal hotspot on your device, no VPN connections, no low power mode are admitted). AND I suggest that you keep the device plugged into power during the whole update process.

If you don't have a wifi network with Internet access, "borrow" one from your friends/neighbors, or ask for help at an Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider or Authorized Reseller.

Do not forget to create a full backup of your device, before any updates.

Giulio

Ok thank you for your help I was wondering why the updates show up later sometimes.

I will head back to the carrier store and use their wifi to update like every other prior aside from 15.1 I did that one without 5G over cellular data perhaps it was something patched in the security updates as there’s no 5G towers nearby and I’m roughly 50cm away from the spot I did the last update.

I’ll mark as helpful and answer though there’s an oddity.
