How do I concatenate 4 drives to JBOD

Sorry to be so basic, but I have a redundant Raid 5 with 4 disks and want to create a Concatenated JBOD to use as a backup drive and don't seem to be able to convert the Raid 5. I keep getting 4 individual drives, not concatenated.

Believe it or not, I have looked at all sort of forums and Apple Support but none give explicit instructions. All talk about JBOD to RAID5 but not the reverse.

I'm sure this was not a problem with earlier OS's.

Where I'm I going wrong, my:

OS 12 Monterey

Mac Pro

Mac Pro, macOS 10.15

I doubt you can create a different RAID or JBOD arrangement and keep the data. Most RAID manipulations require that you create a new EMPTY array or Concatenated RAID set. The other side is that if you make one slip of the mouse, you data could be erased anyway, so make a complete backup... and once you have a complete backup, it is easier to just create a blank RAID set of the type you want.

the key to getting access to these tools is in step 1:

In the Disk Utility app on your Mac, choose File > RAID Assistant.

Create a disk set using Disk Utility on Mac - Apple Support

Thanks for that Grant. The bit I missed was going to the RAID Assistant to select the Drives.
