HomePod no longer showing up for airplay after update

If you’ve gone through the full reset sequence, restarted the Wi-Fi router mostly just for grins, and still can’t get AirPlay going, I suspect you’ll need to discuss this with Apple Support directly. Use the Get Support link in the upper right of this webpage.

Twice I have:

1. Removed the HomePod Mini from the Home app
2. Reset the HomePod Mini by unplugging for 10 seconds, plugging back in, and then holding down on the screen for 10 seconds until countdown is complete.
3. Paired with my iPhone

The HomePod Mini will still not show up as an AirPlay accessory. It is however connected to my wifi and I can use Siri to play music. Could this be an issue with the Firmware update?

I am having this issue too. I can AirPlay to my AppleTV 4K just fine. The AirPlay on the device stopped working two days ago. Have since reset the HomePod Mini three times.

Hi get in your home app then home settings and check under speakers & tv access option if is enable to “ same network “

My current default is "Anyone On the Same Network"

I disassociated from the HomePod pair, re-set each, re-scanned and re-added it, and re-created the pair, to get it all working.

Basically, forget it, and then the set up as new.

I’d try an update on the iPhone, too; to 15.2.

I was really hoping that was the solution! Unfortunately, after the update to 15.2 on the iPhone, I still can't see the HomePod Mini in my AirPlay menu.

Me too, I reset it and it worked for another week then stopped again. I'm thinking HomePod mini firmware....
